November Workshop -- Huntington

I love, love, love the Huntington paper (click on any photo to enlarge).  The colors are just wonderful.  I can't wait to take my Thanksgiving pictures and add to these pages.

Let me know if you are interested in joining our workshops.  We typically meet every other month.   The next workshop will be January 13th and 14th, and we'll be making pages using the Sparkle and Shine paper line from the new CTMH Holiday Gift Guide.   Those Christmas pictures will be perfect for this paper!   Let me know if you would like a catalog or Holiday Gift Guide!

August Workshop -- Chantilly

After a long break, the workshops are back!!  And this month we used the Chantilly paper -- love this paper!!!  Here are the pages.  The first and third layouts have flowers cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge.  The fourth layout has a pinwheel that was also cut with the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge.

Again this month, I included placeholders for my photos.  I'm going to use some more of the Cancun pictures for these pages (the blue water will really pull out the blue in these pages), but I didn't get my photos together in time.  You can click on the photos to see the layouts in more detail.

Let me know if you are interested in joining our workshops.  We typically meet every other month, but we're a little off our normal schedule.  The next workshop will be September 9th and 10th, and we'll be making pages using the Laughing Lola paper line from the new CTMH Fall/Winter Idea Book.  Speaking of the catalog, let me know if you would like one!  As always, CTMH has lot of fun new products!

I LOVE the Surf's Up paper!  Here are the pages we are doing this month at the workshop.  Adding our Glitter Paper really makes this paper come alive!  I included placeholders for my photos.  We are going to Cancun this month and I love that I have pages ready for some fun, new pictures!  You can click on the photos to see the layouts in more detail.

Let me know if you are interested in joining our workshops.  We meet every other month.  The next workshop will be in July, and we'll be making pages using the Chantilly paper line.

March Workshop Pages -- For Always

Here are the fun pages we are doing at the March workshop using the "For Always" paper. This paper is so versatile.  The matching Stickease (which I didn't use) are wedding-themed, but as you can see, you can use this paper for many, many things.  It would also make gorgeous wedding pages.  I love it because you can add any color to it to match your photos!

Check Out the New 12x12 Canvas Art Kit!!

This is a new home decor Workshop on the Go kit.  Don't you love it!  It comes with one 12x12 canvas and Dimensional Elements in two different color schemes to create a look that fits your decor.

But I took Melissa Laverty's great idea of creating a second canvas using the same kit (Melissa is a fellow consultant).  I bought another 12x12 canvas at Michael's (with a coupon, of course), and painted random stripes on it using desert sand re-inker mixed with our Create-A-Shade paint.  I used painter's tape to block off the stripes and then painted it with a sponge brush.  I then decorated it using the additional embellishments included in the kit.  I don't plan to hang mine side by side, but if you wanted to, you could coordinate the two canvases.  So for about $5 more, you can get two canvases from the kit!

Let me know if you have any questions or are interested in a workshop to complete the kits.  You can see and read more about the kit on page 23 of the idea book (it's G1062, $39.95).

Here's the canvas included in the kit (click on any of the following pictures to see an enlarge photo):

And here's the second canvas that I painted with our re-inker and Create-A-Shade paint and then used the extra kit embellishments:

And here they are side by side (even though I'm not hanging them side by side):

I LOVE the new 6x6 canvas!!!

Look what you can do with our new 6x6 canvas!!   I just LOVE how they turned out.   I used Modge Podge to adhere everything to the canvas (including the pictures).  These are modeled after the ones in the new 2013 Spring/Summer catalog on page 38.  I needed to use four canvases for photos since I have four grandkids, so I only decorated two of the canvases.  I used Chantilly paper and lots of Cricut cuts from our Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges.  I'm thinking about doing a workshop to create these -- let me know if you are interested (swhawa@comcast.net).  Since so little paper is used, I think we could work it out to use a color scheme to match your decor.  Converting the pictures to B&W is a nice look, and it makes it easy to go with any decor.   I think it would be in the $35 to $38 range for all supplies.

Catching Up!!

Hi!!  Sorry it has been so long since I've posted anything.  I had to take several months off in 2012 for health reasons so we missed several workshops.  Here are the pages that we did in November using the Pemberley paper line.

And here are the pages we did in January, 2013, using Clementine.
