May 2017 Scrapbooking Workshop – Dreamin' Big

Dreamin' Big is full of bugs and flowers and lots of fun colors.  The bug paper's flip side is flowers so if you don't like bugs, you can choose the beautiful flowers.  I had the perfect photos for the bug side and the flower side.

Back in 2011, we were at Holly and David's house and the cousins started playing an impromptu "baseball game" in the vegetable garden (just an FYI -- believe it or not, no vegetables were harmed during these activities)!  Talk about a perfect Kodak moment!  The fine dirt was flying and I don't know who had more fun -- the cousins rolling around in the dirt, or the adults watching and taking photos.

I also used a fair number of 4x6 flip flaps (as always) -- a great way to add extra photos to a layout and to hide journaling.
The center of the large circle on the left page actually spins to reveal different photos as it turns -- how fun is that!  I attached the gold "spinner" to the page protector with a brad in the center so that it easily turns.

I also really liked the flower side of the main paper and thought it would be perfect to scrapbook some old photos I had of a weekend we spent at the river with Patti and Jimmie Durbin.  She always has flowers on her porch and deck, and this paper just reminded me of their beautiful place at the river.

Let me know if you are interested in joining our workshops. We typically meet every other month. The next workshop will be in June, and we will be using one of the new paper suites from the new Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog which goes live May 1st.
