January 2016 Scrapbooking Workshop -- White Pines

The paper line "White Pines" is what we are using this month.  I made a comment when I first saw this paper line that I wasn't that crazy about it, but boy, after working with it, I take back what I said!  I really like the way the layouts turned out.  The first layout is the layout designed by CTMH for the WOTG (I changed it by adding red glitter paper and a few other small changes).  Again, I couldn't believe they were including Chocolate as cardstock -- I mean, who uses brown for Christmas pictures?!?  I thought for sure I'd be substituting something for the brown.  But it really does work well with this paper!

I added red, gold, and white glitter paper to the paper, and lots and lots of Cricut cuts (45 different Cricut cuts used on the four layouts).  I haven't put pictures on the pages yet -- I haven't had a chance to even look at my Christmas pictures to see which ones I want to use, but I went ahead and committed to the sizes of the pictures I'm planning to use and added mats so that you can see the pages finished (we won't cut the mats in class).

Let me know if you are interested in joining our workshops.  We typically meet every other month.  Our next workshop will be March 7th and 8th.  We'll be voting on paper lines this week to determine what we are going to use next.

BTW, the new Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog went live on January 1, so we have 3 new paper lines!  I have a feeling we might be using something from the new catalog in March.
