September Workshops

With earthquakes, Hurricane Irene, and Tropical Storm Lee as well as the start of school behind us, it's finally workshop time!! Normally we do the same scrapbook pages on Monday and Tuesday nights, but this month is a little different. When I ordered supplies at the end of July, I submitted the Monday night order one night, and the Tuesday night order the next night. What a surprise I had when they no longer had Miracle Level 2 paper available for the Tuesday night order!! There were only four of the paper packs from the Spring catalog carried forward, and we had already completed pages using three of those packs, so I just ordered the remaining paper pack (Lucky) and decided to make the best of it. I think they all turned out really cute!

Cricut Tutorial Video

Happy Friday! Since some of us now have Close to My Heart's new Art Philosophy Cricut bundle, I wanted to share a couple of YouTube tutorial videos that another CTMH consultant created. I'm always amazed at all of the talent within CMTH and the willingness to share. Her name is Dawn Heuft, and she plans on making additional tutorials. I'll share them here.

Have fun playing with your new cartridge. I just got mine as well. Even though I've had my Cricut machine for a couple of years, I have barely used it!! I plan to learn all about it by using the new CTMH cartridge -- there are so many options!!

Stay safe this weekend as we prepare for hurricane Irene! I hope she is gentle as she passes through!!

Close to My Heart Now Has a Cricut Cartridge!!

The latest buzz with the unveiling of the new CTMH Idea Book on August 1st is the brand new "Art Philosophy" Cricuit cartridge which is exclusive to Close to My Heart. There are 700 images on the cartridge (WOW!!!), and it coordinates with many, many stamp sets. Art Philosophy comes with the Cricut cartridge, 3 stamp sets, ,and three 9"x12" chipboard sheets with shapes that coordinate with the stamps. HOW COOL IS THAT!!! Below are some short videos created by the company about using the Cricut cartridge.

July Workshop Pages (Mayberry)

Here are the fun pages we did at the July workshop. Only four of the older style CTMH paper packs carried forward to the new catalog, and this is one of them.   Let me know if you'd like to order a kit to create these four 2-page layouts.  Only $30 for the kit -- you get everything you need to complete the pages as you see them here (and you'll have paper and embellishments leftover for more cards/layouts)!

CTMH has told us we will no longer have our MyCTMH websites after October 1st, so I think it's time I learned how to blog. It can't be that hard . . . right????
