March 2015 Scrapbooking Workshop -- Yuletide Carol

Get those Christmas pictures printed and in your scrapbooks!  We are scrapping with the beautiful Yuletide Carol paper at our March workshop.  I really love this Christmas paper -- the colors are so rich, and I love the nostalgic feel of the paper and embellishments.  We tried something new this month and are incorporating the My Crush Assortments.  These little packs are chocked full of fun embellishments and are designed to go in the My Crush books, but they are perfect for regular scrapbooks as well!  And the Holiday Happenings Assortment coordinates perfectly the Yuletide Carol paper.

February 2015 Scrapbooking Workshop -- Hopscotch

We used Hopscotch for our February workshop.  This workshop was originally planned for January, but things just got in the way, and we pushed it to February.   This paper is in our Seasonal Expressions 1 book and will only be available until the end of March.

November 2014 Scrapbooking Workshop -- Chalk It Up

Chalk It Up is the paper line we are using for November.  It's great for all those back-to-school photos, but I can also see it being used for other events, too.

September 2014 Scrapbooking Workshop -- Seaside

We are using the Seaside paper line for our September workshop.  I love this paper!!  I think it's the best beach paper and embellishments that we've had in a while.  As usual, I used a lot of Flip Flaps -- love those things!  What a great way to get a lot of pictures on your layouts!

July 2014 Workshop -- Skylark

Skylark was awesome to use with some pictures I took on the beach in Cancun last year.  I didn't really immediately think beach when I first saw the paper in the catalog, but once I saw the paper in person, I knew the colors as well as the sayings included in the dimensional elements and stamp set would be perfect!

May 2014 Workshop -- Ariana

Ariana is really pretty paper.  I just love the colors and the patterns.  I had just taken a bunch of photos of Will and Olivia (and a few of Billy and me) on Easter, and this turned out to be the perfect paper for them.

March 2014 Workshop -- Jubilee

Here are our workshop pages using the Jubilee paper line.  What fun paper!!  I had a ball scrapbooking some older pictures of the grandkids (2 layouts from 2010 and 2 layouts from 2012).  This paper line is all about summer, so I wanted to scrapbook pictures of all 4 kids enjoying the summer.  The paper also made me think about the State Fair, so I finally had the opportunity to scrapbook photos of Olivia and Will at the Virginia State Fair in 2010.

Have I told you how much I LOVE our 4x6 flip flaps???  Believe it or not, I scrapbooked 80 photos on these four 2-page layouts -- now that's a lot of flip flaps!  Many times I have so many great pictures and even though I narrow them down, I still have a lot of pictures to scrap.  My theory is I'd rather get all my pictures from an event on just a couple of pages, even if those pages end up being a little thick and heavy.  It's still more economical than having ten 2-page layouts for an event, and it will take up less space in an album.  Flip flaps also provide a great place to "hide" your journaling, leaving more room on the front of the layout for those cute, smiling faces I love so much!!
